How the calculation works
- 1 — Take the date 15.03.1990 and write its digits as 15031990. Add them: 1+5+0+3+1+9+9+0 = 28, so A = 28. B is the digit sum of A: 2+8 = 10. This calculator keeps B at 10 instead of reducing it again to a single digit.
- 2 — To get C, subtract twice the first digit of the day from A: 28 − 2×1 = 26. D is the digit sum of C: 2+6 = 8. If this subtraction gives a negative value, the calculator uses its absolute value. It then counts the digits in the date and in A, B, C, and D.
- 3 — For this date, the counts are: 1 appears three times, 2 twice, 3 once, 4 zero times, 5 once, 6 once, 7 zero times, 8 twice, and 9 twice. Zero is skipped because there is no zero field. Each count goes into its matching grid cell; interpretations of the pattern belong to numerology.
What do I need to calculate my Psychomatrix? +
Just your full date of birth—the day, month, and year are enough. Your name and time of birth do not affect the grid.
What does an empty cell mean? +
That digit does not appear in the numbers used. This says nothing about lacking abilities, health, or luck.
Is this the same as the Pythagorean Square? +
Yes. Both terms refer to the exact same 3×3 grid of digits from your date of birth—“Psychomatrix” is simply the more commonly used name for it in numerology.
How is the Psychomatrix different from the Life Path Number? +
The Life Path Number reduces the date to a single number. The Psychomatrix instead counts how often digits appear in the date and four working numbers.

How do I calculate my Psychomatrix from my birth date? +
Add the digits of your full birth date to get A, then add the digits of A to get B. Calculate C as the absolute value of A minus twice the first digit of the day, and add the digits of C to get D. Count each digit from 1 to 9 across the date and all four working numbers. Ignore zeros.
What do empty or repeated numbers in the grid mean? +
An empty cell simply means that digit does not appear in the birth date or the derived working numbers. Repeated entries mean that digit occurs more often in this calculation. Numerological traditions attach possible qualities or themes to those patterns, but these are interpretations rather than objective findings about a person.
Do I need my birth time or birthplace to calculate a Psychomatrix? +
No. This calculator uses only your day, month, and year of birth. Your birth time and birthplace do not affect the working numbers or the digit counts. Enter a valid date so the day, month, and year can be processed correctly.
Is the Psychomatrix the same as the Pythagorean Square? +
The names are often used for a 3×3 grid showing how often digits 1 through 9 appear in calculations based on a birth date. Several calculation variants exist. This calculator sums the date digits for A, uses A's digit sum for B, calculates C from A and the first day digit, then takes C's digit sum for D.
Is the Psychomatrix scientifically proven? +
The Psychomatrix is a numerological interpretation system, not a scientifically validated personality measurement. You can use its patterns as prompts for reflection, while keeping in mind that their meanings depend on a numerological tradition. The calculation produces digit counts; it does not establish verified facts about your character.
