Calculate from your birth date

In short

A life path number is a numerology number calculated from your date of birth. The calculator adds every digit in the day, month, and year, then reduces the total by adding its digits again. It stops at a single digit or at 11, 22, or 33, which it treats as master numbers.

How the calculation works

  • 1 — Enter your birth day, month, and year. The calculator uses every digit in the complete date, including leading zeroes for the day or month. It does not ask for your birth time or birthplace.
  • 2 — Add the digits to get a total. If that total has more than one digit, add those digits together and repeat. Stop when you reach one digit or exactly 11, 22, or 33; this calculator keeps those three master numbers as they are.
  • 3 — Example: 29 November 1991 becomes 2+9+1+1+1+9+9+1 = 33. Since 33 is a master number in this method, the calculation stops there and the life path number is 33.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate my life path number from my date of birth? +

Write down every digit in your full birth date and add them together. If the total has two digits, add those digits and repeat until you reach a single digit. This calculator stops early if a subtotal is 11, 22, or 33, keeping that value as a master number.

What does my life path number mean? +

In numerology, a life path number is interpreted as a symbolic lens on recurring themes, tendencies, or areas for reflection. The meaning depends on the number and the tradition being used; it does not determine your future. Numerology is a belief-based interpretive system, not a scientifically established personality test.

Does this calculator keep master numbers 11, 22, and 33? +

Yes. If a subtotal reaches 11, 22, or 33, this calculator leaves it as it is. Other two-digit totals are reduced further: for example, 28 becomes 2+8 = 10, then 1+0 = 1. The exception applies only when the subtotal is exactly one of those three numbers.

What is the difference between a life path number and a destiny number? +

A life path number comes from your date of birth and is used in numerology to describe themes along your life path. A destiny number, also called an expression number in some traditions, is usually calculated from the letters in your full name. They use different information and represent different parts of a numerology reading.

Do I need my birth time or birthplace to calculate a life path number? +

No. This calculator asks for your day, month, and year of birth. It does not use your birth time or birthplace. That is different from some astrology readings, where the exact time and location can matter for calculating a chart. For this life path calculation, your date of birth is enough.
